Last week we told you why we love drip marketing. Now, here are some tools that can help you execute your drip marketing campaigns. Disclaimer: There is no “hidden agenda” in our telling you about these products and services. We don’t get any kind of kickback from these companies – we just like sharing knowledge!

Email marketing software: There are many out there. You want something that is user-friendly, lets you design your own templates, has strong tracking capabilities and can integrate with your existing marketing tools. You also want to go with a company that plays by the rules and complies with the CAN-SPAM Act, which, despite its name, is all about NOT spamming. Depending on your business, any one of these might be right for you: Active Campaign, Mad Mimi,Campaign Monitor or MailChimp.

Sendloop and Customer.io: Each of these has some varying features, but what they share is that they each integrate with your website and / or mobile apps and track visitor activity (some in real time!) Then communications are sent to visitors based on parameters and a schedule that you’ve defined and put into place.

Gumroad: This service is geared toward independent creatives, allowing them to sell directly to their audience rather than being part of a larger marketplace. The drip marketing piece comes in because it can be integrated into one’s website, social media, or email marketing.

Contactually: Among other features, this customer relationship management software pulls contact information from your email marketing software. You organize those contacts into groups you establish, each with its own timeline for follow ups. Then, Contactually reminds you when it is time to follow up with a contact (aka: nurture a lead, strengthen a relationship, close a sale!)
